: Hi all. I am a 30 year old female with degenerative disk disease. The disease is effecting 5 different levels in my back. I have had all the tests, and even surgery, and am now at the point where I have been referred to a pain management clinic. I was wondering who else has the same diagnosis, is being treated by a pain management doctor, what the treatment is, how it is helping with the pain and if you are experiencing an improved quality of life. I appreciate any input you all might have. Thanks Sounds like we may have something in common. I had a disk removed at L1-L2 and now have the 5 levels from their down Diagnosed with DD. There isn't very much positive i can say about it. I'm 51 and have been in pain since 1993. Did you have an operation at L1-L2? Its the rarest lumbar disk problem.
