I respect our moderators position regarding advertising names of doctors or referrals. Email me and I will send you a contact in oz. By the way, I do not use the net to obtain referrals since it is always better to have a paindoc nearby that can deal with the many manifestations of pain. I discourage patients out of my area from seeking my care because of this reason.

: Hello guys - can't see anything from all the "old" crew. Are you guys still on here?? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and everyone else using the board; even the Moderator. I read the message the M posted re. messages that aren't acceptable. Is it right that people who post or answer messages that are unacceptable are barred from using this board?? Could I please be reminded of what is and isn't acceptable. I know the advertising thing. Is using drug names or asking about them acceptable?? Is using Specialists/Doctors names acceptable?? Is requesting the name/s of Specialists/Doctors in your region acceptable??

: To anyone who can help,
: I really need to know the name of one or more Specialists in Oz who are able to help me with chronic pain and symptoms.
: I'm going nowhere at the moment. My Physio gave my GP the excellent book by the PM Specialist from England - hopefully he's read it. However, my GP isn't "Specialist" enough for my present need/s.
: I also need to know if there is a generic brand of medication cheaper than oxycontin as I can't afford to purchase oxy in my present circumstance.
: Dr. Whitworth - my jaw is locking - Dr. won't believe tmj has anything to do with chronic pain. Also, my pelvis and sacrum keep slipping out. Sharp pins'n'needles precede headaches on left side of forehead. Many times the pain shoots across into my right temple. Plane landings are a nightmare. Sharp, pin/knife hits/ripple things from my spine, around my shoulders, up my neck, around the back of my head/temple/jaw around my forehead. Happens all the time now. Never, EVER had this problem before. What can I do?? Pain is incredible. Thought it was all "under control" with oxycontin/baclofen/tegretol mix. Can't take anything for granted can we". Feet are killing me. Everything is so incredibly painful. Doing exercises (i.e. pilates, pelvic floors etc.) every day, hydro when I can. At a loss! Elbows, knees cracking, hands spasming at will. Physio says everything will settle down once I settle. Been traveling - by car. Please tell me it will settle. Can't handle this - Can't grow old like this. Can't hide it from public view for much longer either - too hard. HELP ME PLEASE!!
