I just want to say that agree with Dr. Whitworth and his assesments of most rehabs. Having fone through one myself, which is unrelated to my chronic pain, I agree that they focus on complete abstinence from the addicitng substance. An alcoholic cannot drink just a little or on special occassions only.
It seems to me that in Ally's case that someone is overstepping their bounds. How can they possibly say that she needs to get off of methadone before they study her medical condition or history? Ally has said nothing of what will be done about her chronic pain, if indeed that is what she is suffering from. There is definetly something missing in this equation.
I magine that is why people need places like this that they can learn from and try to make the right decisions for themselves. In the end, it is only ourselves that we can be sure of and even that is not always true.
