Switching from neurontin to Topamax and eliminating the tricyclics (elavil, trazadone, etc) may help. Wellbutrin seems to have less weight gain than the tricyclics, but since you are already on Prozac, it appears your tricyclics were being used primarily for sleep. Oxycontin can cause weight gain through peripheral edema which I often treat with lasix ( a diuretic). Check with your doc on all these. : Greetings, fellow pain pals: I have a quick question for ya'll. Have any of you been told by your doctors that your meds have caused weight gain? If so, what medications are suspect? My doctor told me last week he felt the Neurontin/trazodone/LoEstrin/Prozac/oxycontin is probably responsible for my weight gain. Sound like he just isn't sure since he named damn near all the drugs I'm taking. Anyway, how 'bout sharing any reports of medication causing weight gain with me...oh, and better yet, how did you fix it! : Thanks!
