This advice like most is easy to say, but, most physicians that have 'contracts' with their patients will unilaterally terminate and further prescriptions for narcotics if they learn that the patient has shared his narcotic pain killers with others. My contract says that. I've seen several posts on the Web by people who've been cut off for violating their contract with a doctor.
