: Dear Kimberly,
: I am a little confused by what you mean by:
:
: What is more medicine? Are you taking it so that it endangers you? Are you going to be on this medication for a long period of time? I have a condition that will probably result in my being on pain medication for the rest of my life so addiction is not an issue. My partner is far more concerned that I be pain-free whenever possible and many a time she has made a scene i the ER when it was not brought to me soon enough.
: This is the first time I have ever been to this board so maybe there is more going on then I am aware of because I haven't really read many posts. Whatever the reason, please feel free to e-mail me if you would like to talk. Maureen
Maureen...no, not that it endangers me, only when I am in so much pain that the usual dose does not help enough. I am very careful with the medicine, as I know it is all I have until my next appointment, though, I do sometimes run low. I too have a condition where I will be on the meds for a while, but I hope not for the rest of my life.
I do see her side of it, but, I don't think it should bother her as much as it does. I ask her to see my side, the side where I hurt so much I don't know what to do with myself. But, I hope she NEVER feels what it is like. I plan on being totally honest with her regarding all aspects of my treatment, but, what else can I do to ease her mind? I would love to email you sometime, if you wouldn't mind. Thanks for the chance to discuss this. Take care...Kimberly
