My husband has been dx with DDD, DJD, 4 bulging (all Lumbar) and two herniated (T10 & 12) and has been in excruciating pain for three weeks+ (14 years total, 3+ weeks for newest cycle). From T-5 to L-5, he's got 2.5 GOOD discs. Supposedly he's beyond surgery, been referred for pain management and told he'll probably have to live with pain. HMO says it'll be end of Sept. to get him in to be evaluated! WHAT?!? I can't stand to see him suffering, so trying anything I can. Anyone tried acupuncture? Traction? I'm gonna fall apart soon if I can't get these docs to move quicker. Why is it that these doctors won't listen, or think you're trying to score drugs? Is there any way to get the HMOs to work faster getting someone in for pain management? You guys seems like a great support system. Thanks for any help you can be.
