What's up with the FDA anyway? Are they totally in the pockets of the medical profession and the pharmaceutical industry? It's unconsciounable that an adult American can't even buy something as simple as antibiotics over the counter. Instead we're propagandised with scare stories about supposed antibiotic resistance, when the reality is that the underuse of antibiotics leads to resistance. If government agencies related to reality, American citizens wouldn't be treated like children, and this would truly be the Land Of The Free. Oh yeah, pharmaceutical companies would lose money. We can't have that now, could we? And doctors wouldn't have to be consulted for a simple thing like an infection. Uh oh, more money lost. Like Bob Dylan said, "Money doesn't talk, it swears." What would the Founding Fathers think of our government now?
