Hello, My name is Kim, I'm 14 and for the past four years have been living with chronic pain. The pain is in my lower abdomen and it is there 24/7. I take prozac because I get soo depressed sometimes. I have seen many many doctors and none of them have been able to help me. I have gone to see specialists but still no help. I had my gallbladder out when I was 11 because my doctor at the time thought that my gallbladder wasn't functioning right and that that might be the reason for my pain. Well he was wrong. For the past two weeks my pain has increased greatly and I don't know how much more I can take. I count on God each day to get me through the long day of pain. I went to see my doctor yesterday and she basically told me that there isn't much she can do anymore. I have been referred to see a doctor at the University of Washington for pain management. But I live about 6 hours away from the University and that would mean I would miss school. I almost flunked the 7th grade because I missed so much school. I was homeschooled for four months in the sixth grade and I only had three classes in eighth grade. I'm now in 9th grade. I haven't missed a single day of school except for yesterday. I can hide my pain pretty well, but it's getting hard. I'm falling deeper and deeper into depression. Plus, my boyfriend just dumped me for the stupidest reason you can imagine and now I feel like my heart isn't whole. But i can't concentrate on that, I need help!
About the pain: It is like a tight squeezing pain and nothing really makes it better or worse. My doctor prescribed some tylenol 3 yesterday and it takes a very small amount of the pain away. On a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being hardly pain at all and 10 being the worse imagineable, my pain for the past two weeks has been about a 9 and a half. I don't know if I can be strong anymore. If anyone who reads this might have similar problems or know someone who does, please please contact me. I know I haven't given much info but if you will contact me I can give you more details. Thank you and I pray that someone will respond. If you can please e-mail me at my e-mail address because I might not check here very often.
Thank you Again,
