WOW!!! It's just like reading my story!!! I have 3kids, and after my 3rd I had a tubiligation (sp?) because I suffered from severe back pain during pregnency #3 that I decided I cannot do this again. A year after giving birth, I had 2 laminectomies on L3-L4. By the way no one has ever told me (and I've seen hundreds of doctors) that there is any relation to having my tube tided. I'm curios what is the relation? Anyway, since my surgery, a year ago, I have not recovered, scar tissue from the nerve root to the disc, plus DDD. I have seen so many doctors, and I am on so much medication that it is so depressing. What fascinated me the most about yor story is the pain you have between your shoulders. This is fairly new to me too. I wake up 3-4 times a night because of the pain in numbness in my arms. Back in Feb. I asked my PC about it and he said Carpun Tunnel Syndome (sp?). So I wore the wrist braces and nothing happend. Note that I did not have any back pain in the middle of my back then. Well the numbness and pain in my arms kept getting worse, to the point that my pinkys and ring fingers are now numb all the time, and I now have a burning, sharp pain right between my shoulders. Even though I am on so many meds I can feel the pain there just shooting. So last Monday I talked to my Ortho about it and he send my for an X-ray. The X-ray showed curvage of the spine? I guess technically it is spondilisis (sp?) Still don't know what that means, but I had an MRI done yesterday Saturday, and I will have the report on Monday. I think you should get an MRI too!!! My orhto told me that when you have a fusion, or a laminectomy on your lumber spine, you are more prone to have your cervicle spine give up. I will let you knwo what my MRI read on Monday if you want.
I know what it is like to be in so much pain and to have young children. It's no fun!! Please hang in there Chrissy, and I pray you find some relief soon. You are so young, not that I am so old :o), I am only 30 (only) and I have had back problems since I was 24.
Please take care, and be well. I will pray for you Chrissy. Maria
