: Thanks to everyone who posted a message trying to help me. I really appreciate it. A lot has happened since I posted that message. I have an appt. on Nov. 6 at the UofWA. My ex-bf got a new gf four days after he broke up with me and that was like two weeks ago. After he broke up with me he turned to drugs and alcohol and it is tearing my heart apart to see him throw away his life like this. I need advice, I still want to be his friend and I want to help him realize that what he is doing is just plain stupid.

: Kim

Hi Kim,
Sometimes people have to learn buy their own mistakes. It’s been said that " a wise man learns from the mistakes of others, a fool by his own" . Lord knows I have been a fool enough times. Lol.. Your bf might have to learn on his own. Sometimes they have to crash all the way down before they realize what they have lost. Don’t try and stay to close to him, he might end up dragging you down with you. Keep your distance.
Good luck and God bless
John H
