Hi Everyone,

I will be going in for surgery next week to remove my gall bladder.
The surgeon said yesterday that because of my extreme weight (375lbs) and the fact he thought he would have trouble with "inflating my stomach", he will be performing "open surgery.
The surgeon said I'kll be in the hospital a few days then go home.

My problem is when I get home, whats the best pain med to relieve the pain and help me sleep. I've had a few pain meds for various things but they never seem to work. Could it be because of my weight and the doctor
may not be taking that into consideration?

Please anyhelp would be great. I should also mention I have a LOW-LOW tolerance for pain. Sorry, I just don't take pain well and that go's for even small cuts.

A friend mentioned I should ask the doc for Demerol tablets?
Any thoughts.
