This is just my opinion, but I would suggest trying methadone. Your surgical history sounds almost exactly like mine. After trying all types of meds, including a intrathecal morphine pump, methadone seems to be about the only thing that works for any length of time. I still have pain, mostly in the a.m., but it is bearable. I also use Somas 4 times a day, but it is mostly to help me sleep, which it does fairly well. Good Luck,
