: Is anyone using glutathione? Board certifited neurologist Dr. Perlmutter has an intrituing video showing PD patients moments after glutathione injections. They appear to be GREATLY IMPROVED almost instantly. A chapter in his book, "BrainRecovery.com" explains his rationale. I'm curious, skeptical, hopeful, and cautious. Anyone have experience with this nutritional?
K. Palmerton, I have researched this substance the last two days, and their are a few things that make me skeptical this is somee thing that will treat pd. Glutathione is found through out the body as a coenzyme. To put it in perspective, all vitamins are coenzymes. Glutathione is another substance that has that "magic" label as another antioxidant. One concern, is every web site was about someone trying to sell the drug. I couldn't find any site that listed clinical trials or no site from any well known medical center, Of course, if it is sold in health food stores, it is cnsidered to be a dietary supplement and there is no guarantee of how much or how little concentration of the substance in the dose. This is just my opinion, but I wouldn't buy it. I really hate to see people desparate for a cure get ripped off by some of the people selling some of these substances just to make a profit. Bruce
