This is taken from an e-mail I received from the Senator regarding increasing funds for Parkinson's disease. In 1999 132 million dollars was appropriated for pd research. For fiscal year 2000 158.2 million dollars was budgeted for pd research. Senator Lugar stated that the goal is to double total funding of NIH by the year 2003 Bruce
