Here is the website for an interview with Michael J. Fox re: his experience with PD. Click on Table of Contents when you get to the site and it will open the article for you (it's 6 pages.) You will have to click "next" at the bottom of each page.
I read about PD every single day, and I'm always gleaning something new. I read the following experience he described and thought,"Someone else does this????" I thought it was just my teenaged drivers making me jumpy!! Here's the excerpt from his interview:
"Information short-circuits my brain; it circumnavigates the ordinary channels. This drives Tracy absolutely crazy, but when weíre out driving, Iíll be in the passengerís seat, and Iíll see the wall eight inches from the car, and I have faith that weíre not going to hit that wall. But my right leg picks up off the floor, and my shoulder scrinches in."
Has anyone else had this reaction? I know your "startle" reactions become more acute, but his description of "hitting the wall" while riding as passenger, at highway speeds, (especially with all the road construction), makes me just shut my eyes most times!!
