: My husband is 45 and was just diagnosed with PD. We are all just shocked.
: I know so little about the disease I feel almost embarassed, but my husband's Uncle also had
: PD, so he has had a little more exposure to it. I feel so frustrated I could scream,"WHY US, WHY NOW???"
: I know that sounds selfish, I just don't understand. People have told me that there is help for both of us on the internet
: so that's why I'm here. Hoping that somewhere out here there is a place where I can learn more about my husband's condition.
: Are we doomed? How long will we have together now?
: Thank you for letting me vent a little.

Maribelle, what a pretty name. Please DO search this board often, I have gotten SUCH a feeling of a support group. Speaking of which, try to find one,or start one, in your town. I am 54, diagnosed 2 years ago, but there are others on thisi board younger, as well as older. There is hope, there is help, there are medications. As you and your husband move through this progressive disease, continue to ask direct questions -- you will receive good answers here. Also, try the Nat'l Park Foundation site -- good stuff there, too. Hang in there, it gets better after you have a diagnosis, rather than NOT knwoing. Lory
