: This Center just opened in July and I had my 2nd visit yesterday. I met with Dr. Monique Giroux, a Neurologist specializing in Parkinsons and movement disorders. We discussed the med change that was made on the 1st visit, another adjustment was made. We discussed my problem with freezing up and dyskinesia. On Nov 4th they are having a educational discussion, along with a open house, discussing dyskinesia and other associated problems with pd. I will let you know what I learn. In mid-Dec I will be going in for a 4-5 hour evaluation covering several areas such as depression, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and swallowing. Should be interesting. Just thought I would share this info.
That is what bothers my husband the most. The dyskinesia. He is at the lowest dose possible of Sinemet CR we dropped all other meds over six years ago.He was having to many side effects he had taken them for so many years.Good Luck on the clinic it really sounds to be a good place. Keep us informed.
