: : : Hi all,
: : : I hope everyone is well. I want to ask about a symptom that I have had just once. I was dx 2 years ago and never shuffled my feet. I recently stopped taking permax because of bad side effects so I am not medicated at this time. My husband and I went to a concert the other day and as we were filing out of the building my feet shuffled. No matter how hard I tried I could not lift my feet properly. The best I could do was small marching steps. This ever happen to anyone else? If so do you know the cause? Thank You.

: : Hi Mona,
: : I have shuffling feet everyday, I have noticed it tends to start when in crowds or tight close places, hallways, etc. As far as I know it is just one of the regular symptoms. Have you told your Dr.? Good Luck!!!
: I get that symptom when I'm tired or get dystonia in my feet and they don't want to bend!
Hi Mona -- I've found that I do that too in crowds, and I don't ordinarily shuffle. I think it's a reaction to all those people moving around you and the fear of someone bumping into you and losing your balance. It keeps both feet on the floor at the same time. I haven't seen any scientific facts to back that up, just my opinion.
