: Hi all,
: I was here awhile back and met some really nice folks, briefly. I was the one who was having all the twitching and weird symptoms and could not get answers from my doctor. I still have no answers and the symptoms are the same except now I seem to have a little difficulty with speech at times. Its like I can't get the words out right exactly, its not slurring. Like I can't coordinate the effort somehow. Anyway, ALS had been mentioned several times but my doctor said since I had no apparent weakness he didn't believe it was ALS. However, now he says if the twitching doesn't stop (have had it for almost a year now) that he may test for ALS.
: My question is...do any of these symptoms sound at all like Parkinsons? I sometimes feel like I have tremors INside my body going on, almost like a continuous vibration of sorts. I know it sound nuts, but its there. Sometimes my little finger starts twitching and won't stop for a few minutes.
: (like a long tremor)
: I was wondering how everyone here has been doing.
: I remember Bruce, Carolyn, Googy, to mention a few. Very nice people here. :)
: Thanks for any advice you can give me.
Hi Lisa, All of the symptoms you have mentioned, I have experienced. They seem to come and go, but the speach problems are really frustrating. I find being cold or upset makes the inner "shaking" more pronounced. I have had PD for over 10 years. Good luck and I hope we hear more from you on the new msg board.
