: When they test the baby for down syndrome what does that test exactly entail because I am a little
: Skeptical about the whole thing! I have heard soem scary things does it hurt? Also Im only 13 weeks now
: but what does it feel like when the baby is moving or is that one of those things were I will know just know?
: So many questions so confused HELP!!!!!!!
I know people who have had the test done and were told it was positive and than the baby was born normally. There is also a chance of miscarraige with this test. Personally if Down's doesn't run in your family and your under 35 I wouldn't do it. I personally couldn't abort my baby just because there might be something not perfect with it. If you plan on having the baby anyway I wouldn't worry about the test. People have said that they cause more worry than needed and the test come out wrong half the time. I have a family history of women having healthy babies well into their late forties so I've opted not to do it even though I'm over 30. Good Luck, a mother will usually sense that there is something wrong with her baby. My friend is a young mother and she knew something was wrong before the Dr.s found out that the baby had spina befida.
