: i'm 19 yrs old i have a son who is a year and 2 months, and the guy i am with now is not my sons father i have been with himsince my son was born and want to have children with him but i've been pregnant 2 times now and both have ended in miscarriages. now he is an alcoholic so could that be whats causing me to miscarry or could i have developed problems after having my son? is there any chances of having his baby? i'm very worried and unsure. i hope u can help
Alcohol can be a factor in sperm production. Let me ask you what might happen to your son and any future children you have with this alcoholic. While you are out and he is watching the kids can you be sure he won't pass out from to much alcohol or just plain fall asleep and not wake up when the children need him. What if you son turns the stove on accidently while he is in this condition?? Will he be able to handle the situation? When he take the child or children to the emergency room for treatment you have to think about the fact that they will probably take the children into temporary protective custody if they find him to be intoxicated bringing in a severly injured child. Instead of worrying about the miscarriages I would worry more for you son and future childrens safety. Is this the type of role model you want for your children? Also remember that a lot of theories feel that alcoholism is hereditary to some extent.
