: A home pregnancy test should be accurate. It measures the presence or absence of HCG, which is only produced if you are pregnant. It is not an ingredient of birth control pills.
: : My period is a week late. I have been on the pill but have missed a few in one pack but never twice in a row, which I thought would be ok. Anyways I was wondering if I took a home pregnancy test if it would work right or not since I have been on the pill, will the hormones mess up and give a wrong reading?
Yes the test will be accurate as the other posted said. A word of caution though.......... NO birth control method is 100% safe. My girlfriend was very religeous with taking the pill and now has a teenage son even though she was on the pill. Use this as a reminder to be more careful about taking the pill exactly as it is prescribed. Don't miss a dose and take it at the same time every day. Good Luck
