I went for an ultrasound yesterday due to some light bleeding and have one sac with a 6wk foetal pole in it and the other empty which they called a blighted ovum. I have heard that it is still early and a haemorrhage can cover the "blighted ovum" so as to not see anything but can appear with a foetal pole later. I'm confused as to what this all means and how many cases are actually misdiagnosed as a blighted ovum?
