: i'm really stupid. i have been on the pill for about a year and a half. i have also been seeing someone casually for about 2 years. the last time we had sex was about two weeks ago. i got sick right after that and have been taking so many prescription drugs i havn't been faithful to my pill. i'm just now getting better, but the past few days i have had uncontrolable nausea, vomiting, cramping, dizziness and migraines that has nothing to do with the diagnosis the doctor has given me. . . i am not supposed to get my period until march 5th so i figure i'm safe until then. but i'm still worried and i think i am giving myself these symptoms. i fear about talking to the person i'm dating because he know's i'm on the pill, i'm not sure how he might react if i discuss this with him. i know that i am young and i wish that no one should judge me i just need advice on what i should do. . .

Get tested using your first morning urine as it will have the strongest hormone level to detect. Other wise get a blood test. Certain prescriptions will actually interfere with the pill and I've been told that you are suppose to use other protection while on them. If you are and you have to tell him let him know about the drug interferince. This wasn't something you were aware of so its not like you were trying to get pregnant. Anyway nothing is 100% effective except going without so he's just as much apart of it. No girl should feel like she the total problem for gettting pregnant, after all you weren't alone. Good luck.
