: I am 23 weeks pregnant I will be having a c-section.
: Any opinions on epidural or spinal block for the procedure.
: I also have placental abrupto anyone else with this complication. I am doing fine, lots of bedrest seems to be the key.
i don't have any experience with a spinal block but if you get the epidural done right its quite nice. If they don't do it right it numbs the wrong direction or you have side effects later. The Dr. that did mine took about 9 tries before he felt it was in the right spot. They numb you first so I didn't feel all the tries but I was sure grateful that he asked me each time what I was feeling until he got the right spot. If I had to go to the hospital again for something that needed pain relief I would most likely do the epidural again.
