I have had both...The only difference is an epidural you keep the tube in your back, and get boosters, and the epidural takes quite a while to wear off. With a spinal it's one dose, no needle left in your back, and it wears off about 30 min after the c section. You can feel more with a spinal....no pain though, just pulling and pushing when they're taking the baby out. I prefered the spinal because of that, i didn't have to ask what they were doing or how much longer it would be, i could feel when they started to remove her, but when you go in for the c section the doctors should discuss the benifits and downsides of both....or ask your regular doctor durring a checkup.
