: On March 9th I found out I was pregnant. My Dr. appointment isn't until the 29th. My problem is that I get sharp pains whenever I get up too fast or cough (I'm just getting over a terrible cold) This past Friday night I spotted, it was very little but enough to worry my husband and myself. I plan to call the Dr. on Monday but was wondering if anyone else has had these problems.
: Thank you,
Hi Linda! I used to have the same thing happen to me all the time. It was only when I coughed or sneezed. It almost felt like something was tearing inside. Well, maybe you have the same thing I used to have which is called
a "low-lying placenta". Maybe the pain has something to do with that. I don't know for sure, but it's just a suggestion because now that I don't have a low-lying placenta anymore, I never get that sharp pain. My placenta finally moved to the right position
and I just found that out on March 14th at my ultrasound. My next appt is also on March 29th. Ask your doctor if the pain could be caused from a low-lying placenta, or any type of placenta problem. I know that problems with the placenta does cause bleeding.
Don't think the worst until you know something for sure ok. I think negative all the time and I wish I didn't. It is mainly due to my medication called LORTAB that I'm on. I also suffered a miscarriage in 1997 and I was worried about that too in the beginning. Even though my ultrasound looked ok, I am still worried that something will be wrong with my baby from taking LORTAB.
Please let me know how everything turns out for you. You can write to me here or at email@example.com Good Luck!
