Hi my name is Diane. I will try to keep this short. I am 23 weeks along with my second child. I have a beautiful 2 year old boy who is healthy in every way. But before i had my son, i had 3 miscarriages. All which were devestating to me. Then i unexpectadly became pregnant with my child that i am carrying now( a boy and we are thrilled!!)all was fine until at 21 weeks the hi risk specialist told us they saw that the babies femurs ( thigh bones) were short and that this could be a marker for down syndrome. I had the afp and the triple screen which were both normal but i refused the amnio due to my risk of miscarriage. I went back today at 23 weeks and the specialist told me the baby is growing but his femurs are still short and everything else looks good. The femurs are two weeks behind the rest of the body and the heart looks good. There are no other markers for downs and the back of the neck looks good. I am 34 years old and scared out of my mind. Has anyone else ever heard of this problem or had this happen to them? Anyone that can help would be appreciated. Sorry so long but i figured i'd submit all the facts. Thanks in advance.Diane
