With my daugter after trying for 30 min they couldn't get the epidural in so they put me to sleep,but before that they told me they were going to put a catheter in and I was like NO WAY!!!So they put me to sleep first after begging them to.It all depends on if you can have an epidural or not.Doesn't hurt when they remove it though.Burns a little but thats all. good luck!
