That seems rather a strange reason to induce labour to me! is there any other medical reason? I had an induction first time round and it was not pleasant! According to my NCT teacher it is the head coming out that is the worst bit - and the size of head between smaller/larger babies is not that much different. She reckons it is actually easier to give birth to a larger baby as they are stronger and can do more for themselves. Can't say for definate as my baby was Caesarian but she has had 2 and has had over 1000 women through her classes so she's more expert than me! If you want more details on what it's like to be induced please ask.
: My doctor has talked about inducing me a few weeks early so that the baby won't get too big. My
: 1st child was 8lbs., 15 oz. What is the earliest that a doctor will induce labor?
