: Im 20 weeks pregnant and occasionally maybe once a week i drink diet caffine free mt. dew and i have had people tell me not to drink that because it has nutrasweet in it. So should I not drink it?? What does nutrasweet do? Im scared that maybe i did something to my baby now i have been drinking it!!!!!

I have heard that aspartame can be bad during pregnancy, although I'm guessing it would be a heck of a lot more than the amount of soda you have been having. If there even is aspartame in nutrasweet.
I really wouldnt worry. You could just switch to non- diet soft drinks from now on.
Talk to your doc, but really, you should have not a thing to worry about.
