: : Hi there. I am so so so scared that I have endometriosis. The doctors have said it sounds like iritable bowel syndrome, but I've also had this knawing low back pain that makes it really hard for me sometimes. I've casually mentioned it to the doc, but at the time thought it was no big deal because I just thought it was back pain. But now I've been reading a few things and that is a main symptom. I also read that it can be mistaken for ibs with irregular bowel movements and stomach trouble.
: : I went for a check up not long ago and I did feel some discomforting pain during the internal exam.
: : I really want a family.
: : What should I do? I'm freaking out about this!
: : I can not tell you what I'd do if I couldnt have kids!
: : Please give me some input.
: : Thankyou.
: i know what you are going through, the difference is that i have been diagnosed with it and have had it removed, not that having it removed means anything. the only way to truely diagnose it is to operate(lapescopy). the thing is with endo is that there hasn't been a lot of research done on it so most doctors don't diagnose it. there are plenty of websites out there and groups, so if you want more info send me an email and i will give you the web sites or i could tell you my experience and how i deal with it.
I had severe endometriosis and just had it removed via laparotomy. My fertility doctor said that it was the reason I haven't gotten pregnant. It was attached to my colon and my bladder. My ovaries were stuck to each other too. I was pretty messed up. After my surgery my doctor said that my tubes are open and gave me and my husband the green light to try to conceive for 4 months. I'm crossing my fingers. My main symptoms with endometriosis were irregular bowel movements, extremely painful periods and terribly heavy periods. I hope this helps.
