: This may be a gross question, but what is it like when a pregnant girl is losing her mucous plug? I don't remember losing mine with my first pregnancy. How early could it happen and what does it look like? There has been a lot of discharge this morning and I am a little concerned about it being my mucous plug. Does losing it happen all at once or can it happen over a small amout of time? I have 11 weeks until my due date and think this may be too early to be my plug. Please give any advice you can. Thank you!
Not a gross question at all. I lost mine ealry too with my last child and she came out okay but, they put me on bedrest for 4 weeks just to make sure. also my docotr told me about a saliva test to indicate pre-term labor...I am going to use it with the next one for sure. You should ask your doctor about it. Since losing your mucos plug can be an indication of PTL.
Good luck, Madibailey
