: I took an ovulation test on the 11th day. It was dark but not as dark as the test line. The 12th day it was the same. The 13th & 14th days it was real light. Lighter than the previous. Could I still ovulate or did I miss. Why would the tests be getting lighter? My previous tests were all possitive between days 14 through 17. Someone please help!!
OK, I have never used one of those ovulation tests, but I do know that the human body can be
very unpredictable. Perhaps you were just getting a hormone fluctuation. Maybe your body was
contemplating ovulation like normal, but then decided (for what ever reason or no reason at all) that
it would delay ovulation for a few more days. Therefore the ovulation hormones had a reduction, thus
I've used natural family planning (checking cervical mucus) now for over 2 years to avoid pregnancy.
Some cycles were just up and down for no apparent reason. But after 2 years of avoiding I knew
which day I was ovulating even if there were fluctuations before the actual ovulation. My husband
and I got pregnant first shot last month. Ever thought of adding some of the natural family planning
techniques on to your test kit? Like basal temp. readings and cervical mucus? It's easy and it
couln't hurt. It would only increase your chances of getting pregnant.
In the meantime, don't worry about your test results. Just have a good time with your partner
anyway!! :) Good luck, LynnB
