: I took a First Response Pregnancy test a week ago and while I was waiting, I read the slip of paper that comes in the box, which stated that only 52% of women who are pregnant have received a positive result that early using First Response. That means that 48% who are pregnant receive a negative result! I thought about taking another brand of pregnancy test, but decided that even if it came up positive, I would still want to get a blood test to know for sure, so I just went for a blood test yesterday. This probably doesn't help you much, but I thought maybe you could use the company as we "wait it out" together. (I'm still waiting for the results of the blood test). Good luck to you!

Hi Keanna:
Yeah, that slip of paper was kind of confusing to me; but at any rate, I took the test a week (exactly) after I was supposed to have gotten my period, so maybe it was accurate (fingers crossed!!!) It said later that the test was 99% accurate in clinical tests and 98.4% accurate among consumers--but how early, I don't know. So when will you hear about your results? Are you trying to get pregnant? You will have to let me know how it turns out. As for me, I am most definitely NOT trying to get pregnant; and after this kind of stress I think it would be best if I went back on the pill as soon as I get my period--assuming (hoping/wishing/praying) I am not pregnant.
Take care,
Pam
