Hello everyone, last may i had a miscarriage and my gp has just done a blood test to check my hormone levels. My blood test came back abnormal. My doctor has yet to discuss this with the gynacolagist but because i have been pestering him he agreed to see me and try to explain what the problem could be. Now, it all seems a bit confusing at the moment but basically it's to do with a hormone we all have in our head, it is to high and therefore causing all my hormones to be out of sequence so I can get pregnant but just can't carry a pregnancy for to long. My gp says this can be treated with clomyd (if I've spelt that right) which is a infertility drug. You may all be thinking well thats ok then at least you've found out your cause of miscarry and of which can be treated, which of course i'm over the moon with but i'm only 23 it just makes me feel very sad, in the sense that why? why can't I just be normal. I feel like a freak. This whole hormone thing is affecting my life, I no longer feel in control of my thoughts, my feelings, I cry at the smallest thing. I've got a wonderful man, who loves me, a good job that i enjoy and I just worry myself sick that I'm going to lose all of this through my raging hormone's. What can I do though. Will this clomyd drug sort me out or do I have to seek more hormone treatment? The gp tried to explain all of this to me in terms I could understand, I'm not saying I don't understand what's happening I just wish I could put it right. Any response grateful. Thanks Olivia.
