Does anyone have any encouraging info on the brethine infusion pump? I am at 30 weeks. I have been in the hospital twice in preterm labor. The brethine tablets stopped working after 2 weeks. This time they sent me home on the pump. But sitting here doing some reasearch led me to a FDA statememt that they do not support brethine as a long term treatment in preterm labor. There was one identified case of maternal death, plus other problems related to long term use. I understand that at this point the baby isn't ready to be born. But on the other hand, I don't want to risk causing problems to myself or my so far very healthy baby. Does anyone have any personal information or experience that would help me?
