Soon, you uterus will be too big and you may feel pressure when you lay on your stomach causing discomfort to you but no harm to your baby at that point. They say you should avoid sleeping on your back, however, if you wake up that way just roll over. It won't hurt you or the baby to find yourself on your back in the middle of the night. I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and I still find myself waking up on my back but not very often because it is too uncomforatble at this point. I sleep on my sides now and usually on my left side. Enjoy the few extra options you have now while you are 6 weeks because as you get bigger it gets harder to find a comfortable position and sleep well. Good luck with your pregnancy. Hi there. What Lindsey said was right. I also use a body pillow while sleeping and I find that this(sometimes)reminds me to stay off my back in the middle of the night. It is also much more comfortable than trying to keep up with all the regular pillows. Good luck.
