My husband and I had sex 11 days after my last period started (my periods are only 7 days long). I forgot that I was taking Septra DS for a urinary tract infection and this dose of Septra was a double dose. I started taking it on Wednesday and Friday, we had sex. So, the antibiotics were pretty much in my system, since I had taken 4 over those past 3 days. I haven't really had any symptoms of pregnancy, but because antibiotics make birth control pills ineffective, I think I could be pregnant because sperm can live inside a woman for 3 days or more - so they could have been living in my body during the 14th day, when I would probably ovulate. I haven't taken a test, yet, because my friend who works in a doctor's office is sending me one for free. Is it likely that I could be pregnant?
