: Hi,

: Im hoping someone is going through the same experience I am--or went through the same ROLLERCOSTER ride I am going through now.....I am 5 weeks pregnant. My HCG is great, it keeps rising normally. Last week it was 6,450 and today at 9am it is 30,200! -----But here is the concern/problem, My PROGESTERONE is only 4.0! They want to give me progesterone injections to carry this baby full term. But, if my body will miscarry without the injections, doesnt this tell me that something is already wrond with the pregnancy, or that there are abnormalites??

: Please help if you know of someone or had this same experience, I would love to hear what happened.

Hello. Just wanted to let you know that I went through the same thing you are going through. With both pregnancies of my girls, I had very low progesterone. First of all, I got pregnant and then miscarried soon after I got pregnant. Doc didn't know why I miscarried at the time (I was only about 3 weeks along). Then I got pregnant with my oldest daughter. VERY LOW PROGESTERONE. I had to give myself a progesterone shot every day for the first 20 weeks. Kailey is perfectly healthy and I am very thankful I did give myself the shots. Then I became pregnant again, and once again miscarried. Then doc figured out that the low progesterone was probably the reason for my first and second miscarriage. Well, then for the fourth time, I became pregnant again, and guess what? VERY LOW PROGESTERONE again. This time I had to use a vaginal progesterone suppository every day for the first 20 weeks. Courtney is now 3 months old and very healthy. At this point, starting the progesterone would probably make the difference whether or not you carry this baby. I don't think there is already problems with the baby or any abnormalities. Your doctor would probably tell you if there were. In my opinion, get on that progesterone NOW. For me, it was the difference between having no kids or having the two beautiful little girls I have now. If I can help you out in ANY WAY at all, please let me know on here or you can e-mail me at fairs@sigecom.net. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
