Ok, girls - I have now decided that it's time for my husband and I to have a baby. That old motherly-instinct has been hitting me on and off and I just found out that my best friend is pregnant, which has really helped me to make this decision even more.
So, I've been on the pill for a a little over a year and I'm into my second week of pills. My husband and I had sex last night and I didn't take my pill today. Yesterday was the 13th day after the first day of my last period and today is the 14th day. So, that means today, I would ovulate, right? Is it possible for me to get pregnant today or was it possible that I could have conceived last night, since sperm can live in a woman's body for up to 5 days. I don't understand why I've heard that it takes women a long time to get pregnant after they stop taking their birth control pills because you have to get it out of your system, when there are so many warnings that come with pills to not miss any or you could get pregnant. If anyone has any feedback for me, let me know - I'd really appreciate it. Is it true that it will take me longer to get pregnant when I go off the pill, especially when my periods were so irregular before I went on the pill? Thanks a bunch!!
