HPTs are as accurate as the test your doctor will give you if it is done correctly although I am sure there have been many people to get false negatives and are pregnant. The blood test you had should also have been very accurate. But don't worry, this will all be cleared up when you go to the doctor because he/she will definitely be able to tell during an exam if you are 3-4 months pregnant. Good luck!

: Have you ever heard of someone being 3-4 months pregnant and their HPTs still turning up negative?

: My last 3 periods have been significantly lighter than normal, but no breast tenderness, etc. - just nervousness brought on by my head, i think.

: At 4 weeks post possible conception date, I had a blood test done and it came back negative and since then, in the last 2 months, I have taken 8 or so HPTs and all have been negative (ok I admit, I'm paranoid).

: Is there a chance that I am pregnant or that the tests could be wrong? Should I trust the tests?

: I also have an annual exam next week at the OBGYN - should I express my concerns to him -- would he be able to tell if I'm pregnant if it's been about 14-16 weeks since possible conception date?
