My mom and dad got married, had me, and then my mom left my dad because she didn't want him to raise me. She went to college and law school as a single parent (with help from her mom) and with little support from him. I agree that you should try to get child support if you can - but if you have a supportive family or anyone, you can do it alone!!! My mom just won an award in New Jersey for her dedication to public service as a lawyer. It's hard work - but if you want it, go for it!
