: : Hello everyone, new to board. I'm looking for help from anyone who knows anything on Arachnoid cyst. My doctors have said that an Arachnoid cyst is usually in the brain but in very rare cases they can be in the spine. My is at T-2 to T-12. I have had surgery twice the 1st was to totaly remove the cyst. Then in less than 2years they were doing surgery again, the cyst had returned. The 2nd surgery they drained and put a shunt in it. Now less than 2 years since my last surgey the doctors have found another mass on my spinal cord. I also have a condition called kyphosis from the laminectomy at T-2 to T-12. Is ther someone that has had this problem that would like to talk. This problem has been going on for 8 years now. Can someone tell me if the nightmare I'm living,, Will I wake up!!!!!! Please help. Ant thing would help...
: Hi! Mellissa, I don't know if I have your problem,I haven't gotten that far in my testing. I have a pitiutary cyst , kidney cyst, nasal cyst and many other smaller one in my body as well as fatty tumors. I have alot of symptoms that i thought were muscle problems but after a muscle biopsy was neg. I'm left with no answers. I was wondering what are the symptoms of a spinal cyst? You know cyst are a pain because they always come back. I've been going throught my strange problems for 8 years also and have gone throught many emotional phases of this. I try not to let myself get to far down in the dumps because sometimes theres nobody to pick you up. I also have my faith too. I am determined to press on because there is always hope. Hange in there ,you are in my prayers.
My name is Sean,I Live in England.I am a quadraplegic c4 c5 I have been suffering with Autonomic problems for the last ten years and accute spasm's. Time after time I've been to see my consultant and time after time they made me feel as if I was wasting their time because they did not think that I was genuine.Only recently they sent me for an M.R.I.scan which diagnosed a large spinal cyst starting from my injury c5 down to t6. They now acknowledge that this cyst could be causing all these problems but are now fearfull to remove it as they say that if they do then it could leave me worse than I am now.If there is anyone out there who has been in a similar situation and suffered with the same simptoms could you please give me any information on the course of action that you took, Thank you.
