Lisa - I'm so sorry to for your loss and especially to her 2 boys. Its such a shame that so few Drs. know how to recognize the symptoms of TTP, if they did they might be able to stop it before it becomes life threatening. I saw my Dr. 7 times before they finally called in a hematologist who just happened to recognize the symptoms, by that time I had had a stroke and was hours from death, luckily I responded to the treatment. I was also at a hospital where they could not treat me and had to transport me to a bigger hospital. God Bless You and your family and thank you for sharing your story.
