: For a few years I have been getting some slightly sore white patches, varied in size,on my tongue.Usually located on the side of the tongue approx. one inch back. They are on the left and right side of my tongue but never both sides at the same time. They go away untreated. The time frame varies,as little as one day to a month or so.Right now the right side of my tongue has a long white ulcer type sore that has been with me for three weeks. It seems worse in the morning and less noticable by the evening. If anyone has any information on this I would appreciate a responce. Thank you
I'll take a guess and say that it sounds like thrush which is a yeast or fungal infection of the mouth. It usually occurs in children. If it is thrush, it can be easily diagnosed and treated. A Dr. can prescribe the right med.
