This person was healthy and within two days traversed from "normal" to ICU-near death at the Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin. : Sounds like the current treatment method is by Immunoadsorption. Hi Phil, I have TTP and the treatments that I recieve are plasmapheresis. It is basically where they remove my plasma from my blood and replace it with "normal" plasma. Wjen I am undergoing the pheresis I also am prescribed steriods. I haven't heard of any other treatments for the disease aside from Chemotherapy.
