Angiolipoma can be detected in three main ways 1 Those below the skin can be felt. 2 Those deeper in tissue can be detected by MRI and CAT scanning 3 Other angiolipoma may become 'active' (that is their mast cell complement degranulates causing swelling and pain and effects adjacent physiological functions) Hope this helps.
