: my mother has been diagnoised with polymylagia. She had a severe reaction to the prednisone. It took two weeks for her to get the medicine out of her system. She is going on eight weeks and now on Vioxx, she is able to get out of bed and walk short distance. She had a stroke 5/99 that affected her left side. This condition has worsened her condition more than another stroke possible could. How long have you been diagnoised with this? How is your enerygy and stamina?
: I have been diagnosed with this disease. I am 67 yrs old and it came out of the blue. I am otherwise in good health, exercise regularly, am not overweight etc. I started experiencing pain about a month ago. I am on prednisone 30 mg per day and am a little better. Does anyone have any experience with the side effects of this medication
